Directors Profile

Prakasen Govender has a varied selection of work in his portfolio, ranging from Academia to the Private Work Sector. Most notably, he heads his company PGA Architects, which services South Africa. In addition, he has lectured in the Architecture Departments at Durban University of Technology and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). He is the review architect for Tongaat Hullet Developments’ new prestigious development, Kindlewood Estate , in Mount Edgecombe.

In addition to his very busy work profile in the Public and Private Sectors, Mr. Govender contributes to Community Service via charitable work for several religious institutes. Mr. Govender firmly believes that South Africa’s role on the continent is yet to be exploited. We have the skills and talent available within our country to grow far beyond FIFA 2010. South Africa will become an invaluable source of skills, not only to other African countries but to the world at large.

Our Team

PGA Architects was founded 15 years ago as a single practitioner firm. Over the years, the firm now has a staff complement that has grown to 25 including a project manager, interior designers, architects and architectural technologists. AS part of our community involvement to improve the architectural discipline, we regularly take on student interns from the Durban University of Technology (DUT) and the Department

of Architecture at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). Our labour policy is to employ people purely on the basis of their abilities and potential, regardless of race, gender or religion. We seek to train and develop the potential of all employees to enable progressive growth within and beyond the company.
