About PGA Architects

Our core values from inception have been research, design, development and property. Our practice deals with all aspects of the build environment and this is largely due to the staff dynamics and experience.

PGA Architects was founded in 1996 by Prakasen Govender as a single practioner firm. Over the years it has grown significantly to include a compliment of professional architects, professional technologists, interior designers and support staff. PGA Architects are in three provinces, namely, Western Cape, Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal. We are an equal opportunity employer and contribute significantly to in service training and mentorship programmes. PGA Architects are also ISO9000 and Green Building Council of SA accredited professionals. We belong to the South African Council of Professional Architects (SACAP), South African Institute of Architects, South African Institute for Interior Designers.

CEO Profile

Prakasen Govender (or Prak as he is known by) attended University of Natal and qualified as an Architect in 1993. He worked in  a number of practices in and around Durban before entering academia in 1996, same year he started PGA Architects. He left academia in 2003 to go into practice full time.

Green Building EXCELLENCE

PGA Architects have been awarded a number projects where Green initiatives were the key aspect of the brief, namely the SARPS Building, NHBRC Offices and the Kindlewood Management Association.

Mentoring Great Design

Prak Govender is active in mentoring masters students and sits on various design review panels in KwaZulu Natal.
